Genre: The genre for my film will be a thriller, i have chosen thriller as i enjoy the genre and have an understanding of the genre. i will be able to focus on the codes and conventions of this genre making my movie up to a quality standard.
Costume: The costume for the film hasn't been to focused on as the costumes i wanted the characters to wear is what my actors would usually wear on a daily basis, this saved a lot of time during production as i didn't have to get the actors to go out and find the specific clothes.
Film Title: Taking Chase
Short Longline: Two young adults are caught in a drug deal and have to go on the run from the DEA, while on the run they discover something unusual.
Characters: David ( Robert Halligan) Danny (Tom Anderson) Undercover Officer/Dean ( Joseph Simmons)
Shooting Schedule- Mondays and Tuesdays - Off Campus - Some shots in the VPA Building
Camera Angles- The camera angles i used were pretty basic, i tended to use long shots to capture the
full bodies of the actors; this was done to see what they were wearing and show of the costume they had on. I also used establishing shots to set up the scene and give the audience an understanding of what was happening, this also helped establish where the camera was. Furthermore, i used shot reverse shots. This was done when characters were talking and i had it from a over the shoulder shot.
Props- There wasn't that many props used in my film, for the 'drugs' i used a cigarette box, as real drugs were not prohibited and neither was anything that looked like drugs. Also there was clothing props used in the film.
Sound - The sound i used came from Youtube, I took an hour long song and cut certain parts from the song, using this song was simple as i just had to download it and clip it into premiere pro. There could be issues with the sound as i may get a copyright strike for using someone else's audio and putting it in my movie.
Editing - Editing was easy as i used Adobe Premiere Pro to cut together my film, using this software was easy and simple for my first time editing footage together. If for some reason there were parts of my footage that i didn't like i used the cut tool to remove any unnecessary clips of footage.
Cinematography - I used familiar camera shots and angles in the production of my movie, i included such shots as a over the shoulder shot, close up and mid shots. Before just picking up a camera and filming.
Actors - Actors were easy to decide and as a collective were happy to do the work, the only problem was using the actors as they had other stuff to do for their work, for example some scenes i needed a particular actor to use for some scenes; however they might not have have been available at that time which caused delays in the shooting schedule. In the end we managed to resolve this by setting certain times to be available for someones film, we would do 30 minute intervals on each persons film that we were included in making time more efficient.
